Updates on the Patterson Healthcare Campus Project

October 2025 - CEO’s Message

As we move forward in planning the Patterson Healthcare Campus, I want to thank our community for continuing to engage with us every step of the way. This project is about more than just new development – it’s about building a stronger, healthier future for the West Side.

We know that access to care impacts every part of life, from how children learn to how families thrive. That’s why DPHCD is committed to creating a health care campus that truly serves our residents – expanding medical, mental health, and senior care services right here in Patterson.

It’s been inspiring to see the enthusiasm and thoughtful feedback from community members, local leaders, and partners as we shape this project together. Your input ensures that the campus reflects the values and needs of the people it’s designed to serve.

Community Engagement: Presentation to Patterson Joint Unified School District

On October 6, Del Puerto Health Care District (DPHCD) staff attended the Patterson Joint Unified School District Board meeting to share updates on the Patterson health care campus and discuss how expanding access to care on the West Side will benefit local students and families.

Families with school-aged children are among those most affected by the limited availability of nearby health services. The new health care campus will help address these challenges by:

·       Reducing travel time for routine care — meaning fewer missed school days for students.

·       Expanding access to mental health services for children and teens, closer to home.

·       Creating opportunities for collaboration with local schools, including health fairs, immunization events, and wellness programs.

DPHCD also invited the Board and community members to stay involved in the planning process. Continued community engagement remains a cornerstone of DPHCD’s work to ensure the health care campus truly reflects the needs of local families.

Design & Architecture Updates
At the Town Hall on September 29, DPHCD staff and our partners at HDR Architecture shared updated design plans and renderings of the campus.

Patterson Healthcare Campus Master Plan

The campus is thoughtfully designed to promote healing, comfort, and community connection. Its layout features green spaces, walking paths, and tree-lined streets that create a calm, park-like environment supporting both physical and mental well-being. Buildings are intentionally arranged to make it easy for patients to move between services — from the medical office building and community mental health clinic to senior care and nearby retail amenities. Architectural plans reflect Patterson’s Spanish Colonial style while introducing a modern aesthetic that brings fresh energy and visual harmony to the campus.

What Community Members Are Saying

DPHCD is excited about bringing these much-needed health care services to Patterson – but we aren’t the only ones! In these updates, we will share words of support from others in the community who are excited about what this campus means for the future of Patterson.

“As someone who has lived on the West Side my entire life, I’m incredibly proud of the work Del Puerto Health Care District is doing to bring high-quality, accessible care to our community. This new healthcare campus is a much-needed investment that reflects the real needs of local families. I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our residents face when trying to access services, and I’m proud to stand in support of a project that will make such a meaningful difference in people’s lives.” — Albertina Reynoso, Promotora Supervisor, Patterson Family Resource Center – Center for Human Services
