CPR Saturdays presented by Patterson District Ambulance
Starting January 2018, Patterson District Ambulance (PDA) offers American Heart Association (AHA) CPR and First Aid certification to the public on the third Saturday of each month.
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.
This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.
100% classroom training means students are with an AHA instructor for their entire learning experience.
The location is the classroom at Patterson Fire Department Station #2 at 1950 Keystone Pacific Parkway, There is a maximum of eight students per instructor to provide personalized oversight and training.
Each class starts at 8:00 AM, includes a one-hour lunch break, and then typically ends at 2:00 PM.
This course typically costs $85 per person which includes $35 for the American Heart Association certification card fee and required book purchase. To make this training affordable and regularly available in our community, Del Puerto Health Care District is underwriting the cost for the instructors. The regular fee will be $35 per person, but if you register now, we have an introductory offer of $20 per person.
